We walked among the silent stones
listening to the Siren voice of Death.
Two transient souls
with nothing but thoughts to spin across the dark matter.
We would find in the rain
the drowning sorrow of the sky
and an echo of misery resounding in our shadowed hearts.
Sacred bits of memory are lost in the earth
as an empty grave opened up before us.
And I fell
while you wept the bitter tears of loneliness and fear.
I was buried there
and you walked away in the grieving rain.
